Ecomemoria is part of the Human Rights International Organisation. Its aim is to keep alive the memory of the victims of the Chilean military dictatorship by planting trees to commemorate them.
Rowland and the Chile Committee organised the planting of several trees in Stirling and Falkirk.
The first slide show refers to the 2004 planting in Falkirk which commemorated Jaime Aldonay, one of the many who disappeared after the coup, and Ana Nieto, a refugee in Scotland who had died recently. She was the mother of a Chile Solidarity member and had worked as a secretary to President Allende.
